Human hospitals are required to be accredited, yet animal hospitals are not. Shouldn’t they be? We think so! It has been said that only 15% of veterinary hospital are AAHA-accredited. What does that mean?
To become accredited, a veterinary hospital must pass an evaluation of approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence. These standards address patient care and pain management, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, medical records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental care, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, and continuing education. For this reason, AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine.
We’re so proud of our dedicated team who work diligently to ensure we can continue to keep this prestigious accreditation!
