What To Expect

During An Emergency Visit

In an emergency, timing is everything. At AEVC you do not need an appointment to be seen. However, if you call while in route the staff can better prepare for your arrival.

AEVC is staffed with highly trained, experienced technicians and support staff. Upon arriving, you will be met by a receptionist who is trained in critical care and will be able to provide triage to your pet.

Patients are seen on a first-come, first-serve basis pending any life threatening emergencies. We ask for your patience during your visit. We understand that having an ill pet is very upsetting for you and will do our best to have you seen as soon as possible.

Prior to any treatment, an estimate that includes the cost of diagnostics will be presented to you for review and approval. Once diagnostics are complete the veterinarian will review your pet's condition, treatment, and prognosis with you. At that time, a written treatment plan with an estimate will be provided.

Once your pet is admitted we provide updates including pictures and direct communication with the veterinarian via a text message community. While we do offer 24-hour nursing care, your pet can be transferred to your regular veterinarian at 8 am the next morning for continued care at your request. Our goal is to provide you with expedient, quality care.
